Free Safe Space Training

In honor of LGBTQ+ History Month, Bright Baltimore Consulting and Training is providing a free Safe Space Training on October 29th, from 9:00am – 12:00pm.

Organizations across the State of Maryland use the Bright Baltimore Safe Space program to improve climates for LGBTQ+ inclusion through education, open dialogue, and empathy-building.

Participants who sign up will be required to engage in the workshop using both a webcam and microphone. Individuals who complete the training will receive a Safe Space Certificate containing their name and the training date.

Spots are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Training objectives:

·Review basic LGBTQ+ terminology

·Learn about LGBTQ+ allyship best practices for the workplace

·Discuss LGBTQ+ issues with fellow participants

·Understand the differences between sexual orientation, gender identity, and birth/assigned sex

·Learn about LGBTQ+ identity development and the “coming out” process
